it was a thrill tonight to play on LIVE  TV before millions of viewers, on  AMERICAN IDOL,
accompanying fabulous vocalist Amber Holcomb on her version of the Beatles' SHE'S LEAVING HOME.



You'll notice we don't have music stands; we all had to memorize our music (on a day's notice).



My friend Peggy Baldwin got a nice closeup too!

And here I am with Idol's amazing music director Ray Chew.  What a shame you don't often get to see him on the show; the band is often hidden behind the big oval screen on the stage.
