Stephanie Bennett goes to the World Harp Congress, Vancouver, BC, Canada,
July 2011
I gave a talk on "The Music Business: Copyright and Permissions", but I don't have any snapshots of it...
here are some other moments...
me with Victor Salvi and Marco Salvi
The Suzuki Harp Ensemble performs a piece by Phala Tracy, with
wonderful choreography. This scene represents a caterpillar. The kids
moved their lower legs (with green fabric) in unison so that it looked
like the many legs of a giant caterpillar.
Sam and Lorelei Barton (she's director of the Midwest Harp Festival) with me at a nice Thai dinner.
Brenda Dor-Groot plays Electric Pitch-Bending Blues Harp.
With Stephen Hartman at the Lyon & Healy exhibit.
The Hongyun Konghou Ensemble. from China (the 2 instruments on the right are Konghous).
Double row of strings is connected by bar mechanism through board, so
you can pluck one side and press on the string on the other side to
make it pitch-bend.
Ceiling of the Orpheum Theater. Lower Right, David (seated) plays his harp for Saul (reclining).
Winterharp (Lori Pappajohn, director) performs an exciting concert with modern and medieval-style instruments.
