On September 16, 1999, at the invitation of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, harpist/composer/vocalist Stephanie Bennett entertained Her Excellency Mary McAleese, President of Ireland, with traditional Irish and original music which she sang and played on wire-strung Celtic harp. The performance included the première of "Bless the Peacemakers", composed by Bennett in honor of the President's visit.
